For this week’s blog, I will focus on the reading “Giving up alcohol opened my eyes to the infuriating truth about why women drink”. Within the article, the author goes into the details of being a modern woman and the difficulties which it brings. According the article, the modern woman have to face many prejudices and difficulties throughout their daily lives. Some of the difficulties see says the modern woman has to experience is being subordinate and unfairly treated in the workplace with men, being unfairly judged because she is a women, and being treated as an object. She’s argues that women drink alcohol to forget about these everyday struggles, and argues why her eyes has been open about them after she gave it up.
